Shen Yin Wang Zuo, Chapter 106

Chapter 106: Saint Daughter of Samsara (III)

The Six Great Temples were closely linked to each other. Just like how the Mage Temple and the Warrior Temple have an extremely close relation between them, the Knight Temple and the Assassin Temple’s relationship is among the best. An Assassin is after all the best partner possible for a Knight. The knight is the one who can defend the assassin the best and the assassin is the one who can provide the best offensive power to support him. A stable holy light, a wandering dim shadow, complementing each other while countering each other.

Because of the incident, the higher-ups of the Knight Temple were furious, but they didn’t immediately send punitive forces against them, and instead, they announced the facts of the night before to the Assassin Temple, letting them investigate thoroughly. And on this day, on the early morning, Han Qian was facing Ying Suifeng.

Ying Suifeng who had kept a serene face all along was suddenly shocked, calmly replying, “After examining the events of last night, I have a rough idea of the sequence of events. It was certainly a member of our Assassin Temple that intervened. For this reason, I apologize to the Knight Temple on behalf of our Assassin Temple.”

As he spoke, he calmly straightened himself, slightly stooping and performing a salute towards Han Qian.

Hearing that, Han Qian immediately glared at him. He had dealt with military matters throughout all his life, and on numerous times, he had risked his life when fighting against the army forces of the demon race.

“Suifeng, was it really someone from your Assassin Temple who did this?” This time, Han Qian became a lot colder, the way he addressed him changed as well, and his face became an extremely ugly sight to look at.

His relation with Suifeng was pretty good; sixty years ago, they were fighting alongside each other as comrades-in-arms, belonging to the same Demon Hunt Squad. And it was thirty years ago that their status started to rise within their respective temples. They had started to age, and came to the decision of disbanding their Demon Hunt Squad, to start their careers as people working in the affairs of their respective Temples.

Upon hearing Ying Suifeng’s acknowledgement, how could he not feel anxious? This kind of act akin to internal struggle could be seen as an act of jealousy from one of the Temples. This kind of act could obviously arise complaints or riots within the Alliance, and obviously affect its prestige and harmony.

Ying Suifeng let out a sigh and said, “Since we are the culprits, why would I not recognize this act? Please calm down, and listen calmly to me. Actually, this matter has been caused by you, Knight Temple. Let me ask you, the one Yang Wenzhao injured during yesterday’s match was a knight competitor right? And Yang Wenzhao caused him to be heavily wounded.”

Listening to him, Han Qian suddenly realized something, and his complexion changed completely, “Are you saying that Long Hao Chen hired an assassin from your Assassin Temple?”

If it was the truth, then things would be even worse! Without a doubt, to the Knight Temple, Yang Wenzhao was among the most outstanding youths of their generation. But in Han Qian’s heart, Long Hao Chen had more value. Although Long Hao Chen lost yesterday, he displayed an incredible talent, greatly shocking, once again, this Saint Knight Head. He discovered even more facets of this child; it was simply a genius destroyer! His appearance was something that could simply cause all the other geniuses to be ashamed of their talents.

Besides, his grandson Han Yu was arranged to accompany Long Hao Chen as his retainer knight. If Long Hao Chen had really hired an assassin to deal with Yang Wenzhao, then even he wouldn’t be able to defend Long Hao Chen. Such a demonic character could only be punished severely.

By just thinking about that, Han Qian turned pale with fright.

This time, it was Ying Suifeng’s turn to frown, “What kind of person is this Long Hao Chen? How could he cause such concern? Brother Han, you seem to treat him favorably as well, right?”

Han Qian snorted once, replying impatiently, “Please don’t care about this first, and hurry up to tell me: after all, was it Long Hao Chen who hired him?” Long Hao Chen could be called the Knight Temple’s secret weapon; especially since he’s so young, his information was already classified as a major secret. His relation with Ying Suifeng was good, but for the sake of the Knight Temple’s status among the six Great Temples, he couldn’t lightly reveal this information.

Ying Suifeng shook his head, and replied, “Of course it’s not the case, How could a little guy who had already lost consciousness hire an assassin? Actually, things are like this: this Long Hao Chen has a good relationship with a member of our Temple, and the information on how he was wounded came to our Temple. Right after this member of our Temple learned this information, she was in a state of total wrath and acted personally, without notice, to raid this Yang Wenzhao. Only, she was quite lenient and didn’t kill him for real.”

Upon hearing that Long Hao Chen didn’t hire this assassin, Han Qian immediately relaxed, but was exasperated by his light tone. Pissed off, he said, “You are speaking so lightly. Do you know who the hell Yang Wenzhao is? He’s old Yang’s grandson. Without mentioning his importance to our Knight Temple, considering his status, who will you send to explain this to old Yang?”

Ying Suifeng let out a light sigh and said, “His identity is already something we are looking into. Only, now that this affair has already taken place, what we must do right now is to settle it. After all, his spiritual stove hasn’t been damaged, although he has been lightly injured. With your Knight Temple’s healing capabilities, he should be able to recover rapidly, and there shouldn’t be relapses. If the injuries are really serious, we are willing to request a priest at the rank of red-clad sect master or above, from the Priest Temple to treat him. This should partly compensate your Knight Temple; how about it?”

Han Qian was quite smart, from Ying Suifeng’s words he deduced a few facts, and his complexion changed, “So you are saying that you don’t plan to hand over this assassin to us, right? And you don’t even plan to punish her?”

Ying Suifeng nodded in silence, “Old Han, I’m sorry. I’m really sorry about that.”

Han Qian stood up, completely furious, before hitting the desk once again, “Ying Suifeng, so this is the explanation you are giving me? Do you know what the consequences of your actions will be?”

Ying Suifeng sighed once again, replying, “I know, but there’s nothing I can do about it. Not speaking about me, even our most heroic seniors cannot deal with her.”

Han Qian coldly snorted, “He was greatly wounded, and don’t forget who the one responsible is. If we leave this matter to be handled by the Alliance, there’s no way it stays unpunished. I advise you to let it be treated in private between our two Temples.”

Ying Suifeng’s eyes flashed with a particular sparkle, and he thought to himself, This little girl is really carefree. It looks like the Knight Temple isn’t going to let this go easily. Furthermore, if it was her who was heavily wounded like that, I would have had the same reaction. ARGH!

“Brother Han, please don’t get angry like that. I know this matter is making things difficult for you. I will go find this heroic senior and sincerely apologize to him. We wish to settle this matter behind the scenes. I have a single condition.”

“Behind the scenes?” Han Qian was startled.

Ying Suifeng nodded, and said, “I believe you know what I mean by behind the scenes; we cannot afford to treat this person lightly. I only want Brother Han to pledge me something; after we settle this matter behind the scenes, I want you to inform your seniors divine knights that everyone shall keep their mouth completely shut! To preserve our Temples’ thousand years of relations, we absolutely don’t want this matter to be lightly spread.”

Han Qian stared at him, from Ying Suifeng’s serious tone, it looked like the fact that this matter had to be handled from behind the scenes was extremely important to the Assassin Temple.

“Okay, I give you my promise. Speak, now.” Although he didn’t formally pledge to him, his promise was as valid as an oath. Within the Six Great Temples, knights were the most strict in regard to discipline; if one happened to break his promises, no matter whom he promises to, he would have no way to stand on his honor.

Ying Suifeng silently shook his head, and continued to speak, “From whichever side of the Six Great Temples when fostering a talent, the most important factor to determine his potential of future development is the innate internal spiritual energy. In every Temple, people with different innate talent are treated differently. For instance, in your Knight Temple, an innate internal spiritual energy above the 70th level is known as a physique of angel, and above the 80th level it is known as a physique blessed by gods, right?”

Han Qian seemed to have vaguely understood something, and took a deep breath, “From what you are implying, this fellow who wounded Yang Wenzhao has an innate internal spiritual energy above 70, and is rather young, right?” A young age was something that couldn’t be determined arbitrarily; from Yang Wenzhao’s description of his opponent, she shouldn’t have reached the sixth step yet.

Ying Suifeng revealed a bitter smile, “If it was only that much, for the sake of the relationship between our two Great Temples, we would nevertheless have given her some punishment. But the fact is that over the past 3000 years of our Assassin Temple’s history, a sole and unique person exceeded the 90th level of internal spiritual energy, obtaining a physique of a Scion of Samsara. It is equivalent to the physique of Scion of Light of your Knight Temple. The importance of this girl to our Assassin Temple is exceeding the importance your Knight Temple gives to a Divine Knight. You shouldn’t forget that 3000 years ago, our Assassin Temple was almighty; that Scion of Samsara relied on his formidable strength and innate talent and managed to get rid of seven of the demon gods. At the very end, he even managed to deal with the first demon god, and had been inflicting serious damages to the demon race for thirty years. And yet, that Scion of Samsara only had his innate internal spiritual energy at the 91st level. And back to our era, she’s the one we found to succeed that killing machine of a Scion of Samsara. Her innate internal spiritual energy is even greater compared to his former 91st level; it was originally at the 93rd level, but after she inherited the spiritual stove of the previous Scion of Samsara, it reached the 100th level! According to legends, this level is even given another title: the one known as the Saint Daughter of Samsara, an existence that will in the future be able to challenge the first demon god! If we compare her to the Yang Wenzhao from your noble temple, who’s the unimportant one and who’s the important one?”

Han Qian’s eyes were already wide opened, and completely shocked, he answered, “Innate internal spiritual energy, 100…. Is… is this for real? This… This…”

Ying Suifeng let a bitter laugh, “Do you think I would fool you in this kind of matter? This is the biggest secret of our Assassin Temple. To all our almighty temples, a saint girl of this kind is something that would cause anyone to cry out in dread and fall down out of fear. Furthermore, she started her training at the age of five years old, for a total of 9 years by now. Her formidable innate talents are undoubtedly already manifesting. And she did not only manage to grasp control of the Thousand Strikes Spiritual Stoves, she also fused with the main stove this Scion of Samsara used to fight with, the first ranked spiritual stove from our Assassin Temple, the Six Paths of Samsara. You ought to know the might of the Six Paths of Samsara. Therefore, I cannot lightly hand her over to you, because actually….”

Han Qian gave him a somewhat sluggish look, and after a long while, he gently revealed a forced smile, “I understand…”

    Thanks for the chapter 🙂

    woah

  • Diedonetw

Haaaah I guessed it was something like this but I still thought LHC’s potential was bigger … I hope he doesn’t lag behind in strength

    • Skoll

I’m just going to guess here, and say that in this story, much like all other stories like this, SOMETHING is gonna happen to the MC that makes it possible for him to hit well above his weight class, like Chu Feng from MGA, or Linley from CD

      • Huh, he’ll find a ring with an old man inside?

        Nice theory! +1

        • Andrew L

He’ll find the One Ring, it controls all the other magical rings with overpowered instructors inside, and he’ll soon learn everything from every novel!!!

          • Matthew Jack

Nah, his dad is gonna come back from fighting Demon Gods and be like
“Hey, son, I found this object in the Demon Lands”
and it’s gonna boost him to over 100.

          • OmegaGoodJob!

hehehe… A souvenir from touring the Demon Lands !!
            GoodJob!!

        • Skoll

Chu Feng didn’t get a ring with an old man inside 😛
          Though, Linley did.
Anyways, Hao Chen already has his ring

          • Moissonneur66

But Chu Feng has a super cute girl inside his body? doesn’t need a ring

    • Luke Confidential

For whatever reason, he’s already been growing slightly faster than her. If it keeps up, he’ll at least catch up to her before she buckles down and maintains the growth rate.

Hell it might be like Xaio Wu and Tang San, where while they were growing up they were always trading the top rank back and forth like yo-yos

  • Slikrapids

    thanks for the chapter

  • Frun Blumglin

Thanks for the chapter!!!~ This is gonna be one epic tale HAHAHA

  • Ewilan

    Merci pour le chapitre

  • Luke Confidential

Two Scions walking hand-in-hand huh… this should get interesting.

In other news, I had a feeling she wasn’t younger than LHC [she may be by a matter of months, but less than a year]

    • zhertz

cai er isnt a scion you know she is the DAUGHTER OF SAMSARA not scion of samsara so she has bigger potential than him…. and also they are same age i think? i forgot lol

      • Moissonneur66

LHC started training properly at the age of 7 you know? Cai’er has a two year head start and he isn’t that far behind. Besides his spiritual rank is 97 and he trains in both guardian and retribution. while she may have more talent than him there is less for her to learn as an assassin while LHC is learning both guardian knight and retribution knight techniques giving him a wider range of abilities.

        • saryunsenee

wasn’t it at 9 that he started training (for real) with his pops ?

          • Moissonneur66

With his pop at 9 but actually started with the 1st teacher when he was 7 wasn’t it? or had his 1st attempt at the knight test thing

          • Jack

When he was 7 his training was bad. He didn’t take his spiritual medicine and gave it to his mother instead, stunting his own growth severely. That’s why a lot of people say his training started when with his dad when he was 9, cause in a certain aspect, it did.

          • saryunsenee

as i said he only started training for real with his father
cuz im positive that his training before that, can’t be compared to her training , cuz I’m sure that when ying suifeng said she started training at 5 , he meant she was by pros of the main assassin temple that aren’t by any means lower than his father

      • Luke Confidential

Her title is slightly different, and yes she has 3 more points of Innate Spirit Potential [or whatever the term for that number is called] but a 3 point gap is not immense. The two are in all likelihood bound to be the most powerful people of their generation by leaps and bounds, a bit of a gap between them doesn’t mean much.

I suspect LCH is also a harder worker than she is. She’s been training a few years longer with 3 points more of Innate Spirit Potential, but she’s only 3-4 ranks above him [and as we’ve seen hinted numerous times he’s bound to blow right past the bottleneck into the 5th stage, so its not like he’d be slowed down there.]

        • Nomaan Tahir

We’re told that going up each “‘0” is like a bottleneck so likely the gap between 97 and 100 is pretty big.

  • Leticia

Hmm~ I was hoping that Hao Chen is stronger than her. I prefer the MC to be the most Op in the story not someone else.

  • Andrew L

I refuse to believe someone is stronger than the MC, it’s not possible! Long Hao Chen better raise his innate spiritual energy to 101 in the future, who cares if it’s not possible, this is the MC we’re talking about, breaking the impossible is their job!

Does the assassin temple have something like the divine thrones though? If it doesn’t, that means Long Hao Chen will definitely get stronger eventually, though not by much. I doubt him training in both styles of knights will effect anything either as Cai’er could just as easily train in everything from the assassin temple.

This author seems to like doing things like this though, First it was Tang San and Xiao Wu, now it’s Long Hao Chen and Cai’er. Zhong Gong Wei and Ma Ke could also count.

    • Jkcdeo

where is Zhong gong and Make from?

      • Andrew L

Child of Light, RuzeTranslations. Stories good, narrating is pretty bad.
        Same author obviously.

        • Luke Confidential

Heh. Child of Light, Scion of Light

    • Nomaan Tahir

You can’t raise the innate internal spirit energy, because by definition it’s the internal energy you start off with.
What LHC has going for him is Hao Yue, dual class skills and likely a divine throne in the future.
He could always find another Dragon Pill which would be more than enough to cover the gap.

      • lawl

        xxxxspoilersxxxxxx

not true… later on i think everyone will be surprised

      • Andy W

I agree with you, but I am also rather confused by this chapter about the whole innate internal spirit energy concept. It said that Cai’er “was originally at the 93rd level, but after she inherited the spiritual stove of the previous Scion of Samsara, it reached the 100th level.” So does this mean that it is actually possible to raise innate internal spirit energy levels? So confusing. Sadly, there isn’t previous Scion of Light with a spiritual stove for LHC to inherit from.

        • Nomaan Tahir

I assume this is down to how they measure/draw out the innate energy in the assassin’s temple i.e. during drawing her innate spiritual energy she fused with the stove and got a boost to it. Like it would have stopped at 93 but she somehow fused with the stove there and then

    • Jester

and did you know the one who make mc have high innate talent is caier.

    • Emadish

bah the power difference of Tang San and Xiao Wu really annoys me 🙂 hope LHC and Cai’er won’t be like that

    • Owl

That is simply a mathematical way of looking at things, there are a lot of other factors to consider. I consider the MC stronger than her because of one other factor.

      He doesn’t hold anything back.
She’s still a rational calculator when fighting, he goes all out.

    • The Dragon King

Dude the MC is the one with the most potential. His originally was 97 hers originally was 93. She had to absorb a legacy passed down spiritual stove in order to get to 100 so yeah no worries the MC is still more OP then her. Of he ever gets a sptiritual like the one she got he would defiantly get over 101.

      • Andrew L

Well, this comment was before Toto fixed the chapter. He originally missed the sentence about her original potential, and this comment was more a joke than anything else, of course the main character will eventually be more OP.

  • Carlos Jose Barva Serrato

Hi everyone, i will say this pair is going to be op, MC is a op tank, and Cair is a op Dps, just picture the slaughter of those 2, then add Hao Yue, a jack of all trades. I will say poor demon race, and if those 2 have children those would be OP.

    • Maybe they should be locked in a room for several years (to let them reproduce), this way if one of them has an accident, there will be their children to replace and avenge him!

      How’s my idea? I may be a genius, ain’t I? hehe

      • Moissonneur66

Annnnnnnd if one of them is infertile? I love bursting bubbles 😀

        • demonrcool

Not going to happen dont be an A$$

          • Jester

well i think the mage too have high innate talent like the two and priest i think.

        • Iric Alexis

          there still cloning method XD

      • connor baker

Would the children be Super Scion’s 😏

    • Don’t forget the OP Monk (I can’t call him a Priest :p) and OP Alchemist too. And heck even the MC’s OP Hydreigon which acts as an artillery turret.

  • jacbopaige

I think I’d still insist on her being punished in some way, even if I didn’t get to witness it in any way. What she did shouldn’t just be ignored or she’ll feel free to do it again.

I wonder how they’d react if they found out LHC’s innate talent? Would they insist on the two of them marrying and having lots of children, or would they try to break them up?

    • Koon Agnis

Oh yeah good point. What if everyone fears them being together, because they would have too much power?

    • Arifa00

life is bitch i tell you, nothing is fair in this world

  • jacbopaige

I think I’d still insist on her being punished in some way, even if I didn’t get to witness it in any way. What she did shouldn’t just be ignored or she’ll feel free to do it again.

  • Pavel

    Thanks.

  • Iric Alexis

this story move in the weirdest way possible..

    • guy smiley

That isn’t the story, that is us readers. I also noticed that though, I am curious what LHC will say/do when he finds out what she did, cos he certainly didnt hate his opponent or anything, he wanted a good fight and got it.

      • Iric Alexis

lol, i post it as two post actually one for the story direction and one for the reader.. the story also weird.. it’s like the author supporting rich/influential people can admit crime and wash his hand clean… that daughter of shamsara go off that easy after stabbing people is like telling rich/politician can stab/rape people and walk off easy.. well it’s remind true in some real life.. but still.. lol XD

        • Xander

Not quite. It is more like saying the best chance for the future of humanity is too important to punish and potentially lose for such a minor thing.

          • Iric Alexis

that mind set is the problem. first we still don’t know in the future she will side with human or will become criminal that massacre human.. and with that mind set, is the root of all dirty politic about. i see.. so majority is also support that kind of thing.

          • Iric Alexis

punishing not always mean she have to be erased.. have her detention, decreasing her pay, etc. but she just got free from the responsibility is the worst…. bay sitting not always = good thing.. people do need some discipline.

      • Lo Mah

The whole point was to have a fair fight and make him fight LHC seriously which he did in the end. Her attacking him in the middle of the night and beating the shit out of him negates that. It’s like stepping on LHC honor as a knight for her emotions and revenge. She can’t say it was for him cause he never asked her to attack #1. No doubt the author will gloss it over cause LHC is forgiving and is a perfect knight etc. etc. PS. The saint shit it BS IMO, sure she is Op as LHC but she doesn’t have to be a saint. A character can stand on equal ground with the MC without giving them some legendary title regardless of gender.

  • Ecco

Gyus dont forget that Knight Temple is the stronges among all temples.
So naturally that is hardest to train isnt it?

    • Firekarkon

I don’t see how is the strength related to training difficulty

  • mangochic

Cai-ER and Hao Cgen balance each other so well and I’m thrilled that she actually has higher internal spiritual energy than him.

  • bakaleaf

MC is also 100 now his partner is also 100+
this novel love so much number lol

I was thinking what if they realize MC is the same as her
They well execute that guys on spot ha ha ha

  • Matthew Jack

I don’t like the fact that MC is gonna be weaker than another.

  • Frenzy85

Didnt’ LHC start training at around 10 yrs old?

And LHC is about to break into the 5th step, meaning Cai’er is about 4 ranks above him according to WenZhao’s commentary.

LHC still has hope to not be completely suppressed by his love interest!

    • Luke Confidential

Based on what I’ve seen my guess is the difference between them is one of effort. I’m sure she puts in the expected amount of effort, but LHC is ruthless when it comes to pushing himself.

In that way, despite having a slightly lower Innate Potential he’s had a slightly faster growth rate.

  • Firekarkon

This author… doing obvious plot “twists” since 1998. I even wrote a comment that the author is that kind of guy which would let the girl be stronger. I wrote that she’s propably 99% dark and 1% water, flesh etc. It’s even better though. She’s 100% pure chocolate puddin’ powerhouse. Female readers are happy and the guys are teased to read further so they can see who’s stronger. I’m kinda interested in the other names of physiques. Scion of Fire? Child of Light? Scion of Water? Scion of MC?

    • Arifa00

interesting take on how author do things. hmmm…. food for thought

    • Luke Confidential

      Guy reader here… don’t care who’s stronger.

I’m in it for the story, doesn’t matter to me who is the most powerful.

      • Firekarkon

Chill man. I am just trying to follow the author’s thought process.

    • plusy

even if she had the same talent as him, she still would be 10 times stronger. assassins specialize in assassination(shocker!), they dominate 1v1 fights. doesn’t matter how much skills he has from both guardian and retribution classes, he wont be able to survive. and she has an offensive stove, and his stove is an aoe taunt for group fights. he is just a glorified tank who can switch to dps mode, and she is a badass loli assassin.

      • Firekarkon

I’m talking about numbers here which are used for determining skillz since 1998. Unless you got that lucky and aquired the skill of awesomeness or stove of overpoweredness with power beyond 999999999999

  • Azuka

No wonder LHC only has 97 as his innate talent, if it was over 100 he’d probably be called Saint Child of Light or something.

    • OmegaGoodJob!

Maybe or Maybe not. As his father said if innate talent exceed 90 it’s already considered scion of light it’s already the highest among the knights.

  • k1nk4

    Thanks for the chapter!

  • k1nk4

    Thanks for the chapter!

  • Arifa00

    Thanks for the Chapter

  • Ophis

I don’t actually mind Cai’er’s innate internal spiritual energy being a bit higher than LHC’s. What bothers me is that she’s on a different level/title.

Cai’er being a Saint Daughter of Samsara completely overshadows LHC Scion of Light title. It makes him not sounding as amazing as before.

    • Luke Confidential

How does it make him less amazing than before? He still blows the water off the most powerful dude recorded in the Assassin Clan’s recorded history [they have legends of this stronger Title Cai’er has, but for all we know those may have been made up by the writers hoping and dreaming someone would someday fill them.]

In all likelihood this couple we’re looking at are the two people with the greatest potential in the entire world.

      • Ophis

Simply because the author has been constantly, and repeatedly, throwing at out face how amazing, rare, unique, first in history, and all that shit about the Scion of Light, just to suddenly come and show someone much more amazing.

Some people may think that it’s just 3 levels but, knowing Xianxia, it’s not that simple. That simple difference in rank can be a huge factor.

I can already see the author throwing Scions and Daughters/Sons of whatever left and right from now on. It’s like the with Haoshoku Haki from One Piece. Every new character that appears have that shit nowadays. ;(

        • plusy

ye but only a ‘few’ have that king haki or whatever it called.

          • Luke Confidential

Indeed, I can only think of a few. Luffy, Shanks, Whitebeard, Doflamingo…

I read the manga/mahua of shen wang zuo and i can say that Cai`er is so cute and beautiful on the illustration(LHC escorting Cai`er). Thank you for the chapter and god bless you for translating this.

Thank ya very much for the translation, translator! Many thanks towards the Author!

  • Mario Mägi

It seems to me that the MC’s importance dropped sharply just now. I’d like to strangle that author. LHC is just missing 3 points compared to Cai’er. That is not cool. LHC might still be special among knights, but now it feels like overall, he will forever remain the #2. At least, that’s how I feel now. Anyway, thanks for the chapter!

  • Filya Sonuvabič

This gamelike reallity is ruining quite a good story damn, wanted to say this for a while..

    Thanks for the chapter.

I’m sure the MC will find some way to increase his innate potential. Specially if you consider how he and his mount are connected by blood. That might have an effect on his innate potential. Or maybe something else will effect his potential.

Looking forward to the next chapter.

  • John Co

They look too cute!!!!! BTW its a spoiler!!

  • OmegaGoodJob!

I’ve read a lot of comments regarding Cai’er being more OP than LHC.

I think Hao Chen still on the advantage having a powerhouse family and friends, he’s a Dual knight both Retribution and a Guardian knight that’s one hell of a talent, A father who is a Divine Knight (Divine Throne of Doom and Slaughter), A Jack of all trades companion who is currently on a OP progress and hoping for Hao Yue to become like a Divine Beast like a Dragon having all the elements for each heads Hao Yue currently have two heads for Light and Fire elements and I remember after swallowing the ball thing they got from the auction house Little Light (the light element head) have a bump on the side of his head. I think Hao Yue will be the deciding factor for this so called competition for who’s the most OP character between LHC and Cai’er because having bind with blood contract between Hao Yue and LHC, Hao Yue can share his features and powers to LHC.

forget the so called competition if they became a couple they’ll be most powerful couples in the centuries like touring the Demon Lands while holding hand OP much!!! hahaha…

    • Luke Confidential

I also strongly suspect LHC is driven to push himself and train FAR harder than Cai-er is. I’m sure she does work hard, but she’s doing as she’s told, not striving to live up to/exceed a treasured parent’s expectations.

  • Avarrencus

main heroine is stronger than MC, I like this kind of plot~
because the moment that the stronger main heroine will be injured badly by an opponent, MC will slaughter the opponent who harm his woman, and that moment will prove that MC is the strongest!
    Thanks for the chapter~

  • Drifter

@totobro if i remember correctly wasnt her innate level like 91?How is she 100?

    • OmegaGoodJob!

      where did you read?

      • @Drifter you were wrong. I can’t mistranslate numbers, I’ve learned chinese for more than a dozen of years

  • RyokoZero

I wonder why his (LHC) dad didn’t want people to know he was inate spiritiaul level of 97? Is it because he didnt want his son to not skate by but become strong on his own merit?

    • kjhg

he have a enemy and LHC will probably be in danger like him

    • madmann135

It is closer to LHC’s dad wanting LHC to have a somewhat normal life. If LHC was discovered to be in the saint area then LHC would be shipped off to be groomed (Brainwashed), trained to be the best, and turned into a political weapon. Being a prodigy is much better for development than being revered as a instrument of fate.
Look at how Long Hao Cheng handled his battles and defeat, he viewed it as a stepping stone for future progress, in other words a learning experience. If his friends won or lost he would congratulate them on their progress and view it as a learning experience.
Cai Er saw it as an insult, lost her temper and went in search for revenge.

If Long Hao Cheng and Cal Er’s situations were reversed, then Long Hao Chen could have lost his temper if Cal Er lost her match.

      • RyokoZero

Wow…. didnt really think about this… I noticed Cai’er had servants and lots of privilege for a mere assassin. She probably leads such a hard life because of her ability. I am thinking her stove has taken her sight as payment.

        • Tj Hale

but she was mute the first time he met her when he was like 7. and by then i assume she already had the stove. so either it cycles through disabilities every so often, or its part of her training.

          • RyokoZero

yea…. i was thinking it was apart of her training until i read back where the father said their is a price for every stove.

        • madmann135

This is a bit of a long post but it is something to think about.

Thinking about both sides of the argument, one side telling everyone of his innate ability and the other keeping it a secret.

There are numerous advantages and disadvantages to both, but in the long run if true progress is to be had, his innate ability would have to be kept secret.

It is true that if his innate skills were publicized he would have gotten the best education but at the same time his education would be highly regulated and controlled, in other words a future set in stone.

With the education he currently is getting, mixing both offensive and defensive knight classes he does have it somewhat rough, though it is from his own volition, but at the same time he is being held accountable by his own skills and his own progress.

I can easily imagine Cal’Er is under a lot of pressure to “live up to her potential” while Long Hao Cheng is only held accountable to himself. Cal’Er is constantly put on a pedestal, she is limited and pushed by what others think she can do, by what others think her potential is. If she succeeds in a task then she could be rewarded or if her success is sub satisfactory then she would be pushed harder, if she fails then she would be pushed harder.

Long Hao Cheng on the other hand, people know he has potential but at the same time they want to see how far he can go, they have expectations of him while at the same time they want to see how far he can advance. His successes and fails will be held accountable to himself. If he becomes someone great it will be due to his own determination.

Interestingly enough if he was “outed” he would have some political leeway as a student, he would have more lavish “rewards” and better equipment at the start. While not being “outed” he would have to work for his gear, be an adventurer to build up some wealth, work to get good gear and maintain it.
In other words one path would mean he would have better gear from the start, being funded by others, while the other path would mean he has a better understanding of the value of the gear he uses.

For a single decision there is a lot of thinking that goes behind it. I am pretty sure I have not covered the entirety of the scales for such a seemingly small decision, especially in how it can affect one’s outcome.

          • RyokoZero

I’M sorry… i got busy and could not reply to your post at the time. BUT I’m back…

You’re right… there are some advantages and disadvantages. LHC and Cai’er are two sides of a coin.

She seems to be very stubburn… and not willing to just obey. You can tell this when she refused to leave LHC at the beginning of the story and gave him his herbs and the ring… even though her teacher was trying to get her to leave. There was comment about the Eagle clan watching her movements and how much she hated it. AND they were afraid to… that meant she probably struck back at the people that bound her progress or that observed her.

Where LHC’s father knew LHC would be bound if he had expectations from everyone. He would simply follow and do what he was told… no really tapping into his talent. I am sure that his father sent him to be taught purposefully by Ye Hua because he is a genius even though he can’t break past Earth knight and would not teach him according to the book but according to his potential. ALSO, Ye Hua is probably just as strict as his father. Even his comment about him using both of his skill sets would be best if he mixed and match and not limited his self to just the one stance. With LHC innate ability he could take the best of both and use them with out restriction.

I think they both obtained the path that was best for them.

  • RyokoZero

I wonder why his (LHC) dad didn’t want people to know he was inate spiritiaul level of 97? Is it because he didnt want his son to not skate by but become strong on his own merit?

Guys i dont get it …..

Is she 100 lvl or 93 i dont get it ….

    Translation form official raw

e are this, because the reincarnation of the inheritance of the year back Wu son back, a congenital inner spiritual power from overstating hundred ninety three, full value legendary, perhaps even another title. reincarnation of Joan of this new birth, the future is to challenge the first column of the devil The presence ah! She and yáng Fumiaki expensive compared to the temple, is more important? ”

Han gravy eyes at this time have been Dengyuan, some stuttering: “The? Innate spiritual power within, a hundred …… you, which you say is true, this ……”

So she is not actually 100 but near ?

    • Wait, was I tired? lemme check then :OOO

    • in these raws http://www.shenyinwangzuo.com/sywz/520/30-3.html

      it states “先天内灵力,一百……,你、你说的是真的?这、这……” so I’m pretty sure it’s 100.

      • Ecco

But look at ealier words. Its says 93 so i interpret its as reffering to “near 100”

        • huh, maybe then.?
I’ll keep this in mind but anyway, the number will reappear somehow in some later chapters, so if it turns out to be 93, we’ll modify this later if you don’t mind.

No one is perfect, I guess I could have understood something differently, so i’ll wait for other chinese people’s confirmation or simply wait for later chapters and check this.

          • Ecco

Ok thats really ok after all we are just humans, we can make mistakes. Actually im not sure if im correct but still think its worth mentioning 🙂

          • thanks! I’ll definitely keep your remark in mind and be careful with latter details on this matter! :3 and I’ll ask some other people how they interpreted this part, if I have the occasion ^^!

          • Ecco

Ok, sorry to ask you here but i tried to reister in site and it did register but i didnt recive e mail whit my password.

          • Oh, first time I hear about this problem :O.

I’m very sorry, I’m not very knowledgable on tech stuff, so I don’t know what I should do to help you to solve this problem, but maybe the mail will be in your spam box? Or maybe it will arrive later?

Anyway the only real advantage of registering is to solve automatically cache problems for now, but I’ll try to enable people to connect using the totobro account so as to comment. It would be nice, wouldn’t it? ^^, but once again, I’m not soo knowledgable on this yet, but I’m learning computer sci rn ^^’

          • Okay, Ecco, fixed! Take a look, I had not translated a part of sentence. I am blaming the fact the raws’ indent was failed here http://www.shenyinwangzuo.com/sywz/520/29-3.html (look below the page), so I was destabilized and that caused me to skip a little dozen of word.

And this little dozen of word explained something else: that shes IISE 100, but born with IISE 93. The +7 comes from the absorption of her second stove! I’ll do a special post later to explain this!

Thanks for noticing, and sorry :D. Not a mistranslation, just a little dozen of words skipped :x.

  • sky

Gah this crap is annoying as hell. It’s like the author is a feminist or somthing,he always has to have a female character that seemingly surpasses the male…Annoying as hell especially when we are lead to believe how strong the make character is.Xiao Wu is annoying as shit, all she does is cock block tang san, maybe that is what the author wants.Maybe he doesn’t want to spend to much effort on the sappy stuff.

  • Kraios

So…… Is there a particular amount to be donated for each chapter

    • Not especially. Frankly said, the translation will keep going even without any donations. Donations just makes releases faster.

      • Kraios

I like it so I would at least put something up

  • Dingus

So what if she’s stronger by 3 innate levels? She’s still a cripple. Kick her off her fucking wheelchair, would you?

  • Carlos Jose Barva Serrato

I prefer light novels over manga or Mahmwa all the time, but shen yin wang zuo manga show why Cair is so damn yandere.

    • Luke Confidential

They also show her with a much ‘fuller figure’ than I had ever expected a 14 year old Cai-er to have 😛

That is not the shape one expects of an assassin at that age. I only hope she doesn’t continue to put on weight there xD.

48 hours can’t be very far away now… 6 hours? Maybe 8? Ugh, I’m such an addict, checking for chapter 107 just about every waking hour.

  • The Dragon King

Long Hao Chen and Cai’er are literally the perfect and most OP couple ever. Assassins and Knights make perfect partners in combat, they are both OP as fuck scion of light, and that unwavering undying love between they had since they were kids.

  • Samir Suhail

She hasn’t even revealed her mount! I’m so curious! ARGH! x_x
This is the only series that was so good it made me read a light novel for the first time.

Thank you Totobro for all your hard work!

    • Tomas Senn

I don’t think assassins have mounts

      • Samir Suhail

In the LN it implies that they do but she hasn’t shown it yet.

        • Zen

where was it implied? dont remember reading it

          • Samir Suhail

When she beat that guy half to death, can’t remember his name since it’s been a while that I read the LN but they mention she didn’t even have to take out her mount which made her even more frightening.

          • Zen

hmm i don’t remember seeing that, will try to look for that chapter again. From what I can see thus far though, only knights have mounts

  • Well, she is a yandere and yanderes are supposed to be stronger than their partner so they can rape the dude in bed. So its all correct.

    • Ronald Wood

      Lol

  • Nick Nimura

Well at least she’s not some weak princess that needs to be saved. I absolutely hate that kind of femal protagonist.

  • ASD

I’m guessing his internal strength will be upgraded from 97 to 100-110 somewhere along the line

    • Ravenous Basilisk

That’s for certain, it could’ve been easier if there was another Scion of Light before him, so he could’ve cheated like she with this inheritance spiritual stove xD

  • kensche heiashi

Thank ya very much for the translation, translator! Many thanks towards the Author!

That’s rather good, this is one of those novels where the female and male lead are as strong as the other, fantastic. I love this.

Oh wow after hearing this I felt Cai’er and Hao Chen fit more perfectly and complementing with each other more and more.

  • LOLOLLOL

So hm.. the girl is scion’s of samsara and the boy is scion’s of light. so hm.. their child is… what? scions of OP or something ? xDD

So basically the moment Hao chen gets the first Scion of Lights box he will be over 100…ITS OVER 9000!
